All YKL elastomeric insulations are engineered and manufactured for HVAC and other industrial applications. With closed cell structure YKL insulations effectively retard heat flow and prevent condensation when properly installed. The environmental friendly materials are manufactured without the use of CFC’s, HFC’s or HCFC’s. They are also formaldehyde free, low VOCs, fiber free, dust free and resistant to mold and mildew.
Elastomeric insulations are no longer the old black good. YKL K1 Tube C is the colorful form of YKL K1 Tube. It is available in white, red, green, blue or other customized color. Insulated with YKL K1 Tube C, pipelines are easily distinguishable by color providing a great look and convenience. For other performance features please refer to the YKL K1 Tube brochure.
For YKL K1 Tube C insulation sizes available please refer to the latest YKL Insulation Price List.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
﹣297°F to ﹢220°F(﹣183°C to ﹢105°C) temperature range
0.08 perm-inch (1.16×10-13Kg/m?s?Pa ) water vapor transmission
0.27 Btu-in. /h?ft2? °F (0.039W/mK ) thermal conductivity values
Flame-spread index of less than 25 and smoke-developed index of less? than 50
APPLICATIONS
YKL K1 Tube C insulation is used to retard heat transmission and control condensation from chilled-water and refrigeration systems. It also efficiently reduces heat transfer for hot-water plumbing and liquid-heating and dual-temperature piping.
YKL K1 Tube C is ideal for applications in:
Ductwork
Dual temperature and low pressure steam lines
Process piping
Air-conditioner, including hot gas piping
Slip the tubular YKL K1 Tube C onto unconnected piping or, for connected piping, slit the insulation lengthwise and snap it over. Seal the joints and seams with KingGlue 520 Adhesive. When installed outdoors, KingPaint, a weather-resistant protective finish, is recommended to be applied over the surface to achieve maximum.
