All YKL elastomeric insulations are engineered and manufactured for HVAC and other industrial applications. With closed cell structure YKL insulations effectively retard heat flow and prevent condensation when properly installed. The environmental friendly materials are manufactured without the use of CFC’s, HFC’s or HCFC’s. They are also formaldehyde free, low VOCs, fiber free, dust free and resistant to mold and mildew.
YKL Aircon outperforms in fire resistance, water vapor permeability and thermal conductivity features. Its unique formulation makes it an ideal choice for extreme design conditions such as high humidity and low line temperature.
For YKL Aircon insulation sizes available please refer to the latest YKL Insulation Price List.
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES
﹣297°F to ﹢220°F(﹣183°C to ﹢105°C) temperature range
0.10 perm-inch (1.5×10-13Kg/m?s?Pa ) water vapor transmission
0.276 Btu-in. /h?ft2? °F ( 0.040W/mK ) thermal conductivity values
APPLICATIONS
YKL Aircon insulation is used to retard heat transmission and control condensation from chilled-water and refrigeration systems. It also efficiently reduces heat transfer for hot-water plumbing and liquid-heating and dual-temperature piping. YKL Aircon is ideal for applications in:
Air-conditioner, including hot gas piping
Icebox
Solar collectors
Automotive and diesel under hood, including air conditioning, heating
Slip the tubular YKL Aircon onto unconnected piping or, for connected piping, slit the insulation lengthwise and snap it over. Seal the joints and seamswith KingGlue 520 adhesive. When installed outdoors, KingPaint, a weather-resistant protective finish, is recommended to be applied over the surface to achieve maximum UV protection.
All YKL insulation must be properly installed to ensure maximum efficiency and long lasting performance. Refer to the YKL Insulation Installation Manual for detailed instructions.
